Will HD-PLC Change the World!?

Ad campaign begins on the pages of The Nikkei

A world making use of the HD-PLC module---a visually appealing ad implying a new relationship between Earth and the network society appeared on Nikkei newspaper. We asked Tomiya Miyazaki, Vice President of HD-PLC Alliance, about the aim of this ad.

Q: What is the intention behind this ad?

Miyazaki: As various people and things around the globe connect to each other more easily and seamlessly, our daily lives will start to hold new values. We wanted to show that HD-PLC has such possibilities, and that is how this graphic came about. Green, the theme color of the ad, which is also the color of the HD-PLC logo, represents the “green ubiquitous” society that HD-PLC advocates. This ad marks the debut of the HD-PLC Alliance’s advertising campaign; that is why we intended not only to gain wider name recognition of HD-PLC itself, but also wanted to show our big vision of it potentially becoming a global infrastructure, as well as presenting the concept of “green ubiquitous”.

Q: What is the intent behind having the HD-PLC module as the key graphic of the ad?

Miyazaki: There will be unlimited possibilities as HD-PLC modules become embedded in various products. HD-PLC uses a small module with a big potential. We used a human hand in the ad to show the size of that potential. At the same time, we want to send out a message that the world of HD-PLC is easily within the reach of your hands.

We were told that HD-PLC Alliance has a wide variety of advertising and PR campaigns in the works. We expect HD-PLC to continue sharing their vision, and telling the world about HD-PLC and its potential through various activities.
